SGV Mosquito Match


What if a harmless microbe could stop invasive mosquitoes? Explore the science behind cytoplasmic incompatibility by learning about our new program, SGV Mosquito Match. This program uses sterilized male mosquitoes to reduce mosquito populations.



Teacher tip: Cytoplasmic Incompatibility and other Sterile Insect Techniques could tie nicely to a lesson on genetics or natural selection.

The Mosquito Intelligence Academy (K - 6th Grade)

Mosquito Intelligence Academy (M.I.A.) is EcoHealth’s classroom program that is grade specific and NGSS-aligned. Students will learn about mosquito source reduction, bite prevention, and much more.

  • Offered January - June

  • For grades K - 6

  • Sign ups are open!


Certificates of Insurance (COI) already in place with:

  • Azusa Unified School District

  • Bonita Unified School District

  • Claremont Unified School District

  • El Monte City School District

  • Garvey School District

  • Pasadena Unified School District (*select schools)

  • Pomona Unified School District

  • San Jose Charter Academy


Note: If your District is not listed above, please allow for 8 weeks to obtain a COI, if required by your school district. 



Little Champions Banner
